Worn suspension wears out your tires too

Suspension parts wear slowly, so most people get used to the change. The car leans a little more, stops a little longer and clunks a little louder, a bit at a time.

Worn shocks and struts let the tire bounce off the road, which cuts grip under braking and in the rain and wears the tread unevenly. Worn bushings and joints let the wheel shift, which chews up the edges of the tires.

Some suspension jobs change the wheel alignment. When ours does, we tell you up front, because an alignment needs a rack and new tires wear out fast without one.
